Vieja Habana

Great to be back in Old Havana, though the snow of Ontario and my visit with Ken Mews to Upper Canada Village and Old Montreal was very exciting too. I got here in the middle of the night last Tuesday and slept in at Chavez's in the room I always have in his house in Centro Havana. We spent the first part of the day going through the goodies i had brought, including a digital camera and an HP photo printer for Juan. It has been working wonderfully well since we got it set up and we'vew been having fun printing up stuff from a previous visit as well as from his new Nikon. After settling in I went for a walk in Old Havana and went to see the house of Molly Ferrer's grandfather, which I'll insert here with some pics of the streets. The place right near the train station and a block away from the birthplace of Jose Marti. It's right across the street from the national archive. It is my a kindergarden called "La Casita Coloniale".
